Senior Product Manager, Technical
About
Zeromoblt is building Digital Public Infrastructure for student mobility a safety-first platform that moves students to and from school reliably, transparently, and safely. We serve a multi-stakeholder ecosystem: students, parents, drivers, schools, and fleet operators. Under the hood, that means real-time vehicle tracking, geofencing, passenger pooling with safety constraints, driver onboarding with financial verification, and regulatory compliance for the transportation of minors. This is not a CRUD app. Milliseconds and consistency matter. Failure modes have real-world consequences. We're building for scale from day one. You'll sit at the intersection of product strategy and system architecture as comfortable debating a Kafka topology's consistency guarantees as running a discovery session with a school administrator. You won't write the production code, but you'll understand it well enough to make the right trade-offs, ask the sharp questions, and never ship a happy-path-only feature into a system that carries minors.
Key Responsibilities
- Real-time platform product surface tracking, geofencing, alerts, and the trust signals parents and schools depend on.
- Multi-stakeholder experience reconcile the competing needs of students, parents, drivers, schools, and operators into one coherent product.
- Safety & compliance requirements define product requirements where safety is the architecture, not a feature. Own the 'what could go wrong / how do we detect it / how do we recover' framing.
- Driver onboarding & verification flows including financial verification (UPI, penny-drop) and the operational realities of onboarding at scale.
- Roadmap & prioritization sequence work against reversibility, risk, technical debt, and business impact. Say no with reasoning.
- Technical discovery partner with engineering on architecture decisions that have product consequences: consistency boundaries, latency budgets, failure behavior, and cost trajectory at 10x-100x scale.
- Metrics & instrumentation define what 'working' means and ensure it's observable in production, not hoped for.
Requirements
- 5+ years in product management, with at least 2+ years on technical / platform / infrastructure products (not purely consumer-surface PM).
- Fluency in distributed systems concepts you can reason about eventual consistency, idempotency, ordering guarantees, back-pressure, and failure modes, and make product decisions that respect them.
- Real-time or event-driven product experience you've shipped products where latency, ordering, or state consistency were first-class concerns (mobility, logistics, fintech, IoT, gaming, ad-tech, or similar).
- Data-driven and instrumentation-minded comfortable defining metrics, reading dashboards, and writing SQL-level queries to answer your own questions.
- Strong written communication crisp PRDs, clear trade-off framing, decisions documented so engineers can execute without re-asking.
- Comfort with ambiguity early-stage, high-ownership, minimal hand-holding.
Nice to Have
- Experience in safety-critical systems (transportation, healthcare, fintech, or systems affecting minors).
- Familiarity with AWS (Cognito, Lambda, DynamoDB, ECS, S3), Kafka / Kafka Streams, or event sourcing / CQRS patterns.
- Experience with maps / geospatial products, geofencing, or fleet/telematics.
- Exposure to the Indian market UPI payments, regulatory environment, and infrastructure constraints.
- Prior work at early-stage startups where you built process, not just followed it.
What We Offer
- Ownership of a product with genuine real-world impact student safety at scale.
- Direct partnership with a founder/CTO who has built platforms at Amazon scale (300M+ transactions/hour).
- A greenfield, modern stack and the mandate to build it right, not just fast.
- Competitive compensation and meaningful equity.
- Remote-first, outcomes-over-hours culture.
Open Roles
From operations to engineering, we're looking for people who want to make student transportation safer and more reliable.
Head of Evangelism & Category Building
Turn ZeroMoblt's product, technology, and culture into a consistent public story so investors, press, and colleges discover us before we pitch them.
Mobile App Developer
We're a high-agency startup solving real-world problems with elegant tech. Our mission: build world-class systems from scratch that are lean, fast, and intelligent. We’re an early-stage startup crafting deeply technical products involving Kotlin, React, Azure, AWS, GCP, Google Maps, and algorithmically intense backends. If you’re tired of working as a ticket taker and want to build, lead, and own your work end-to-end we’re your people.
Product Designer
ZeroMoblt is building India’s first AI-Native Digital Public Infrastructure for student mobility. We’re looking for one person who owns everything design, with product design at the core. This role shapes how the product thinks, feels, and works.
Experience Engineer
At ZeroMoblt, we are not a transport or logistics company we are an Experience Engineering Crew. Every interaction in our system is a lived moment that builds clarity, confidence, and trust. As an Experience Engineer, you will shape how users experience the system by ensuring every interaction feels seamless, predictable, and meaningful. This role goes beyond support it is about designing proactive, reliable, and human-centered experiences.
